UCA TO HOST GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE WINDGATE CENTER FOR FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS

WHERE:  Corner of Bruce St. and north of Thompson Hall on the UCA campus

The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees and President Houston Davis will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. The event will be live-streamed at uca.edu/windgate.

The Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts, made possible by a transformative $20 million gift from the Windgate Foundation, will provide much-needed class, studio and design space while fostering new collaborative partnerships for fine arts, theatre and music students and faculty.

Speakers will include Davis, Interim Vice President of Advancement Mary Lackie and several others. Following remarks, members of the UCA Board of Trustees and key speakers will turn the dirt.
