UCA TO HOST GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE INTEGRATED HEALTH SCIENCES BUILDING

The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees and President Houston Davis will host a special groundbreaking ceremony for the UCA Integrated Health Sciences Building at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 at the corner of Bruce Street and Western Avenue on the UCA campus. The 80,000 square-foot facility will be home to the School of Nursing and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, along with the Nabholz Center for Healthcare Simulation and an Interprofessional Teaching Center to be utilized by the entire college.

The facility will further enhance UCA’s role as a thought leader and innovator in meeting the health care needs of the state and region.

Speakers will include Davis, Vice President of Advancement and President of the UCA Foundation Kale Gober and Dean of the UCA College of Health and Behavioral Sciences Jimmy Ishee. Following remarks, the UCA Board of Trustees and Vice President of Finance and Administration Diane Newton will join key speakers for the turning of the dirt.
