UCA HOSTS DAY OF CELEBRATION OF WOMEN IN STEM

The University of Central Arkansas STEM Institute will host “A Day of Celebration of Women in STEM” Friday, March 9, starting at 8:15 a.m. in Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the UCA campus.

Girls from high schools in central Arkansas such as Conway, Vilonia, Bigelow, Greenbrier, Searcy and Mayflower are invited to attend the event that will feature a keynote address from Elizabeth McCormick, a former U.S. Army Black Hawk pilot.

Representatives working in STEM fields like nursing, physical therapy, computer coding and medicine, as well as those working for organizations like the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the FBI will host learning sessions throughout the day.
