Allyson Loter, UCA President Houston Davis and Grant “Bo” Cunningham

Grant “Bo” Cunningham and Allyson Loter were recognized as Bear CLAWS recipients at the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees October meeting.

CLAWS, an acronym for Celebrating the Lofty Achievements of our Wonderful Students, is awarded to one or more exceptional students or recognized student organizations during regularly scheduled board meetings.

Cunningham and Loter are senior innovation and entrepreneurship majors from Conway and Greenbrier, respectively. In April, they were both winners of the 2024 Arkansas Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition, with the team Arkansas Real Estate Media (REM) placing first in the small business category and earning a prize of $10,000.

The Arkansas Governor’s Cup is a collegiate business plan competition that started more than 20 years ago to encourage college students to be innovative and think like entrepreneurs.
