UCA's newest police officer, Kevin Ford, was sworn in on July 9th. Ford, who is 34, moved to Arkansas from Illinois last year after visiting his mother, who also works for UCA. Jessica Jones, a 2006 University of Central Arkansas graduate from Cabot with a Bachelor's Degree in French and English, is the recipient of a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship from Conway Morning Rotary Club. UCA adds new doctoral program in Leadership Studies
Last Friday, the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved a new Ph.D. program in Leadership Studies to be administered by UCA's College of Education. UCA's Community Development Institute receives grant
The Community Development Institute (CDI) at the University of Central Arkansas last Friday received $80,000 from the Nabholz Charitable Foundation to endow an operating fund for CDI.
