Inclement Weather Update for Friday, January 10, 2025

Due to current and expected weather conditions, UCA’s remote instruction plan will continue to be in place for Friday, January 10. Students should monitor their UCA email accounts for information from faculty regarding course activities, assignments, and expectations, as well as syllabus adjustments to the overall course schedule.

Weather-essential personnel should report to campus on Friday. Supervisors, in coordination with division vice presidents, should communicate with employees regarding on-site staffing. All other UCA employees should follow their remote work plan.

The hours for essential campus services for Friday, January 10 are as follows:

Dining Options

  • Christian Cafeteria will be open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut in the Ronnie Williams Student Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The C-Store at Bear Village will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Other Services

  • The HPER Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Torreyson Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., after which virtual services will continue to be available via the website.
  • The Ronnie Williams Student Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The Student Health Center will be available for telehealth appointments only between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Limited shuttle service between Bear Village and campus will be provided on Friday by calling (501) 269-5903. This shuttle is contingent upon there being safe and acceptable driving conditions. Please call the number above for more information, or check the Shuttle Instagram account @ucashuttleservice.
  • The IT Help Desk is currently operating on a normal schedule, however, there may be limited staff available to answer the phone. You can leave a message and a member of the Help Desk staff will be in touch, or for faster response and resolution you can submit an online help ticket.

As a reminder, any further changes to university operations will be communicated through your university email, as well as the UCA website and our official social media channels. In addition, we will also send an alert out via the Safe@UCA app.
