UCA's Shakespeare Theatre, NYU Acting School to hold open auditions

UCA's Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre will hold open auditions on Saturday, Feb. 16 for roles in the 2008 AST Summer Festival. The auditions will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Donald W. UCA music student receives SURF grant for research

Karyna Johnson of Huntsville, a senior at UCA, has been awarded a $2,194 Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. UCA researchers receive $483,000 to assist Arkansas at-risk students

The Arkansas Department of Education awarded $483,000 to three education researchers at UCA's Mashburn Institute who will investigate ways to improve teaching methods for at-risk adolescent students. Eric Deitz of Little Rock, a senior in UCA's Honors College, has been awarded a Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.
