UCA hosts author John Brandon as artist-in-residence

The University of Central Arkansas will host author John Brandon as artist-in-residence from Wednesday, March 1, to Thursday, March 2. Brandon’s first novel, “Arkansas” was published in 2008 and made into the 2020 film by the same name. UCA receives grant funding from Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership

The University of Central Arkansas has been awarded nearly  $24,000 in opioid settlement dollars to provide naloxone doses and training on its administration to students, faculty and staff.  Through the Naloxone Hero Project, the funding comes from the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership and will allow campus employees to distribute naloxone doses during an emergency.
