*Due to revised regulations from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, any candidate earning an initial license in 2027 and beyond must complete a year-long residency/internship. For UCA MAT Special Education candidates completing by Fall 2026, the required course is ELSE 6600 (one semester internship). For those completing after Fall 2026, ELSE 6390 & 6399 are required.
