Staff Senate is now accepting applications for Professional Development funding for Quarter IV of the 2025-2026 fiscal year. For professional development opportunities occurring between April 1 and June 30, 2026.
UCA’s Staff Senate Professional Development fund was established to assist staff employees in pursuing opportunities for professional development. These funds can be used by a staff member seeking support for:
Conference Travel: Registration fees, airfare/mileage, and lodging associated with professional conferences.
Certifications & Licensure: Fees for obtaining or renewing professional certifications or additional licensures relevant to the applicant’s role.
Continuing Education: Workshops, seminars, or specialized training courses.
Webinars/Virtual Learning: Registration for online professional development series.
Full-time staff who have been employed for at least six months are eligible to apply. The maximum award amount per quarter is $2,000 per applicant; the final value of the funding depends on the available funds and the number of applicants. The fund has a total of $8,011.00 to award per quarter.
Be advised that these funds are awarded as reimbursements to your departmental budget. Funds will be awarded after your development opportunity has occurred to ensure the awarded funds are only applied to eligible expenses.
The deadline to apply for funding is February 23, 2026.
