UCA Intern of the Year Recognized Nationally

Congratulations to Ariel Rodriguez-Gutierrez, named UCA’s 2024-25 Intern of the Year and recipient of the prestigious CEIA Internship Student Achievement Award for her exceptional environmental research. During Summer 2024, Ariel conducted breakthrough research at UC-Irvine’s Center for Closing the Carbon Cycle, with publication now in progress. As a senior Biochemistry major graduating in May 2025, Ariel will soon begin the Doctor of Pharmacy program at UAMS in August.

Join us in celebrating Ariel’s remarkable achievement and supporting her continued success throughout her academic and professional journey.

Brightspace D2L On Campus for Office Hours

Brightspace D2L representatives will be holding office hours ON CAMPUS this Thursday, April 24th. These office hours are your opportunity to ask questions as you navigate through Brightspace D2L. Office hours will be held in Torreyson West 319 from 1:45 – 4:00 p.m.

Philo Brasher Emerging Leader Award

Alex Liebhaber, Project Administrator for Scholarships in the Office of Student Financial Aid, received the Philo Brasher Emerging Leadership (Rookie of the Year) Award for the Arkansas Association of Financial Aid Administrator at the 2025 AASFAA Spring Conference on April 17th. This award is given to individuals who are current or past members of AASFAA who had five (5) years or less experience in Financial aid and who distinguished themselves at their institution and within the association.
