Celeste Flowers graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Folklore and a minor in Anthropology.  Shortly thereafter, she received a master’s degree from Indiana University in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. While working on her degree, she taught “survival” English to spouses of international students at the university through the Arab Student Association.  She was also an English instructor for 2 years at the Middle East Technical University at the extension campus in Gaziantep, Turkey. There she also developed curriculum and wrote tests for the program. She was an instructor in the Intensive English Language Program at UALR for 10 years before she started teaching at UCA in 2002. Celeste has experience teaching all levels and skills including grammar, reading, writing, listening, and TOEFL preparation.  She has studied French and Spanish and knows a bit of “tourist” Turkish.
