Dr. Betty Hubbard is a Professor in the Department of Health Sciences. Dr. Hubbard served as the Interim Chair for the Department of Health Sciences from July 2021 to June 2022. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with an ED.D. in Health Education and also earned master’s degrees in Health Education, Psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Hubbard is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) as well as a Fellow of the American Association for Health Education. She served as an officer and committee and board member for numerous health education professional organizations including the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Dr. Hubbard teaches undergraduate-level Materials and Methods of Health Education and Disease Management for Health Promotion courses and graduate-level Contemporary Health Problems and Issues and Research in Sexuality courses.
