The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be closed during UCA’s Spring Break March 24 – March 28. We will be open our regular hours from 11 am – 5 pm Monday – Thursday March 17 – 20. We will reopen at 11 am on Monday, March 31.
Closed for MLK Day
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will resume our regular open hours of 11 – 5 on Tuesday, January 21st.
Spring 2025 Hours
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will reopen on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Regular open hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 am until 5 pm.
Reminder: We are closed when UCA is closed or operating remotely for inclement weather.
Closed for Winter Break
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry is closed for UCA’s remote work days and winter break through January 8, 2025. The Pantry will reopen on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11 am.
December & Holiday Hours
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be open from 11 – 4:30, Monday through Thursday during Finals Week, December 9th – 12th. The Pantry will be closed from December 13th through January 8th for UCA’s Remote Work Days and the Holiday Break. We will reopen at 11 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2025.
Pantry Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be closed during the Thanksgiving holiday break from Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th. We will reopen at 11 am on Monday, December 2nd.

10,000 Meals for 10 Years!
During UCA’s Global Goals week, a Food Packing Event was held for the Bear Essentials Food Pantry. The Hunger Relief Army packed 10,092 meals during the event!

Pantry Closed During Fall Break
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be closed during UCA’s Fall Break Thursday, October 17, and Friday October 18. The Pantry will return to its normal open hours on Monday, October 21.
Closed for Labor Day, Monday, September 2nd
The Bear Essentials Food Pantry will be closed on Monday, September 2nd for the Labor Day holiday. We will open the next day, Tuesday, September 3rd, at 11 am.
