Bear Essentials Food Pantry
Food insecurity is a growing issue among college students, impacting their ability to focus on academics and overall well-being. At the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), the Bear Essentials Food Pantry is tackling this problem head-on by providing free, nutritious food to students, staff, and faculty in need. The pantry aims to reduce the stress of food insecurity, ensuring that the UCA community has access to essential resources. Through its efforts, Bear Essentials is fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of their financial situation.

It depends on what has been donated. Often times we have a plethora of fruit, snacks, and non-perishable items. We also get dairy products, meat, and vegetables. We are striving to improve our gluten-free options.
You can donate monetarily to our UCA Foundation. You can also donate by bringing good, unused food items to the UCA food pantry.
We are always looking for volunteers to serve as Pantry Ambassadors or work in the pantry to help those who come in. If you are interested in our volunteer opportunities click here!
