The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) is making it easier for students and their families to explore private lending options for higher education through FastChoice, a resource that provides information on alternative financing solutions when federal aid may not be an option or if a student needs additional funding beyond federal aid.
Coordinated through UCA’s Office of Student Financial Aid, FastChoice connects students with various private lenders that students have utilized at UCA over the past three years, helping them compare loan terms, interest rates, and repayment options in an accessible and transparent way.
“Many students and families don’t always realize they have alternatives when it comes to financing their education,” said Kim Stubbs, director of Student Financial Aid at UCA. “FastChoice gives them the ability to review multiple private lending options in one place, empowering them to make informed financial decisions when federal loans are not an option or additional funding may be needed.”
UCA’s Student Financial Aid team encourages students to research all available options before committing to a loan. “We want students to fully understand the financial impact of their choices and ensure they select the best solution for their situation,” added Stubbs.
For more information, students can visit the UCA Student Financial Aid website or contact the office for personalized guidance on financial planning and loan options.
