The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Nutrition & Family Sciences Department is proud to announce that Leila Dickinson has been selected as the 2025 Distinguished Service Award recipient. This prestigious recognition honors Leila’s outstanding contributions and unwavering support of the department and its students.
Leila will be celebrated at the 2025 Alumni & Student Recognition Reception, which will take place on April 25, 2025. The event will bring together alumni, students, faculty, and staff to recognize exceptional achievements and service within the department.

I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Leila Dickinson for her dedication to our students,” said Rebekah Luong, Interim Department Chair of the Nutrition & Family Sciences Department. “Her commitment to ensuring that each student has their needs met, the valuable communication that Leila constantly provides faculty, and how she is always willing to improve the processes for all involved are just a few reasons why she is being honored with this award. We look forward to celebrating this well-deserved recognition with her.”
