She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Master’s in Adult Education in Business/Computers. Her proudest accomplishment has been building a cohesive advising team that supports students in meeting their academic goals and achieving success. Her current focus is to continue developing this team and enhancing their ability to guide, listen to, and encourage students.

LeighAnn defines student success as being available for students when they need you, always listening, guiding, and encouraging them to strive for success. She is inspired by her love for students, UCA, and the people she works with. Her passion for her work is balanced by her love for sports—particularly the Texas Rangers and the Cowboys—camping, and boating on the lake, which help her relax and bring a positive attitude to her professional life.

Looking to the future, she is excited about UCA’s new Commitment program and the advanced technology being implemented to support student success. She believes that UCA is at the forefront of technological innovation in higher education. Her advice to students is to have grit and focus, ask for help when needed, and always stay positive and happy.

With her extensive experience, dedication to student success, and commitment to continuous improvement, LeighAnn DenHartog is a valued leader at UCA, making a significant impact on the lives of students and the university community.
