Program Components

During the fall/spring/summer terms, the Academic Internship Program sponsored by The Washington Center (TWC) for Internships and Academic Seminars consists of three components.

(1)  Internship (three to six credit hours)

The Washington Center (TWC) partners with hundreds of internship sites in Washington D.C. and other locations.  Students are placed in internship related to their own professional interests.

(2)  Academic Course (three credit hours)

The Washington Center (TWC) provides a variety of academic courses taught one evening each week by adjunct faculty in the Washington DC area.  Students choose a course based on their interests and gain access to faculty members who not only work as professors, but often as professionals in their field.

(3)  Career Readiness Programming (three credit hours)

The Washington Center (TWC) provides a career preparation program, including professional development, career exploration, networking, an individual career advising.
