Support the Department

The Department of Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology has three UCA Foundation funds that support student research and activities. The following describes the purpose of each fund. If you want to give now, please click on the name of the fund.

The Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology Endowment Fund: This is a general fund established to support department events and initiatives that enrich our mission. This fund helps us support extra activities that contribute positively to student, staff, and faculty experiences within the department.

The Gordon and Faye Shepherd Student Research Fund: This fund honors the career of distinguished professor emeritus Gordon Shepherd by supporting undergraduate research activities. Donations to this fund are used to help support the independent research projects and the dissemination of the research of our students.

The Jamie C. Brandon Center for Archaeological Research Fund: This fund honors the memory of Arkansas archaeologist Jamie Brandon. The fund supports local/regional archaeology and the training of new archaeologists through the Jamie C. Brandon Center for Archaeological Research (JCBCAR). The mission of the Center is to promote and facilitate outreach programs to the community and support student-based opportunities in archaeological fieldwork and research.
