The Youth Theatre of Central Arkansas is still registering participants for its upcoming acting classes for students in grades 3-12.
The Youth Theatre is a 15-year old program sponsored by UCA Theatre and the UCA Theatre Foundation. This unique program offers participants a professional educational experience in theatre which allows each student to explore his or her own creative talents. Students are instructed in the art of acting and learn the techniques and methods used by professional actors everywhere.
The Youth Theatre has two age groups. The junior group consists of students in grades 3-6 and the senior group is made up of students in grades 7-12. An acting class is available to both age groups this spring. The classes will be conducted on consecutive Saturdays and will be held in the Studio Theatre of the Snow Fine Arts Center on the UCA campus. All interested students are encouraged to participate regardless of their previous experience.
Acting for grades 3-6 will be held Feb. 11 through March 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration is $150 if paid by Feb. 9. Late registration of $175 will be accepted through February 11 if room is available.
Acting for grades 7-12 will be held Jan. 28 through March 18 from noon to 2 p.m. Registration is $175 if paid by Jan. 26. Late registration of $200 will be accepted through Jan. 28 if room is available.
