Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour Coming to UCA

The University of Central Arkansas will welcome Michael Johnathan’s WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour to the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on Saturday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. The event is part of UCA Public Appearances’ Night Out Series.

“This is going to be a really special event,”said Jerry Biebesheimer, director of Public Appearances. “Not only will it be an evening of great entertainment, but the audience gets to be part of a live performance they can hear and see later.”

WoodSongs will conduct two one-hour broadcast recordings the same evening and will feature performances by a variety of Arkansas musicians. The show will be webcast live and later rebroadcast as two one-hour shows on 506 radio affiliates, the American Forces Radio Network in 173 nations and every U.S. Naval ship at sea, the Bluehighways TV network, public television and online, according to KUAR-FM’s website, www.kuar.org.

WoodSongs’ website, www.woodsongs.com, stated that the event will be “celebrating the rich, diverse music of Arkansas and the Ozarks in conjunction with KUAR-FM in Little Rock, Arkansas Public Television and the University of Central Arkansas.”

Some of the confirmed musicians include The Cleverlys, Blue Rain Bluegrass Band, Bonnie Montgomery, Nathan A., Tim Crouch & Gary Rounds, Still On The Hill and Scott Odena.
