Women of Ireland are set to perform an Irish dance show at the University of Central Arkansas’s Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on March 3.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is sponsored by KDIS Little Rock 99.5.

They comprise a 20-member touring company made up of the best female performers within the Irish musical tradition performing alongside other world-class musicians, singers and dancers.

Women of Ireland will be touring North America and Canada for five weeks beginning this month. The performances will feature talented vocalists The O’Neil Sisters and a variety of dancers, some of whom have performed for Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and Riverdance.

The show will also feature special guest Anthony Fallon, a world champion and former lead dancer with Riverdance.

“The audience will be captivated with the variety of artists this performance highlights,” said Amanda Horton, director of UCA Public Appearances. “It truly has a diverse group of entertainers, including quick-stepping dancers, gifted musicians, amazing vocalists and even acrobats that add a cirque element in the mix.”

The dance show will highlight the qualities of Irish music and Irish talent in a contemporary setting as well as some Irish and Celtic treatment to popular songs.

Tickets, available at the UCA Ticket Central Box Office, are $30-$40 for adults, $27-$37 for senior citizens, $25-$35 for UCA alumni, $23-$33 for UCA faculty and staff, $10 for children and free for UCA students with a current student ID. For tickets, call 450-3265 or toll free from anywhere in Arkansas at 1-866-810-0012 or visit www.uca.edu/tickets.
