WLN hosts Women’s Foundation to explore state of women in Arkansas

The Women’s Leadership Network at the University of Central Arkansas will host a luncheon with the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas on Monday, Oct. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center to discuss the 2022 Arkansas Women’s Commission report on Analyzing The Role of Arkansas Women in the Labor Market and Economy.

Women from across Arkansas are invited to this complimentary luncheon. To attend this luncheon, register online at https://uca.edu/outreach/women/wln-events.

“The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas is looking forward to joining the WLN in Conway to engage local leaders in this important discussion about creating economic opportunity for women. With actionable recommendations from the Arkansas Women’s Commission report and insight from local experts, the luncheon will serve as the perfect opportunity for businesses, organizations, and public leaders to learn about ways they can join the efforts of WFA and WLN to uplift women in our shared community,” said Becky Flynn, WFA director of development.

The luncheon will feature informative presentations and panel discussions led by experts in various fields, addressing findings from the report, such as labor force participation and barriers to entry. Attendees will also have the chance to network with like-minded individuals dedicated to advancing women’s issues in Arkansas.

“It is a unique opportunity for our community to come together, learn, and discuss the challenges, achievements and opportunities for women in Arkansas,” said Shaneil Ealy, associate vice president, UCA Division of Outreach and Community Engagement.

The event is free, but space is limited; early registration is recommended. For more information, please visit uca.edu/outreach/women or contact (501) 450-5261.
