The University of Central Arkansas’s Baum Gallery will host its Senior BA/BFA exhibition Nov. 3-Dec. 1.

Students graduating in December with a Bachelor of Arts with emphases in Fine Arts or Art Education or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art must show work in the senior show.

Two receptions will be held in the Baum Gallery for this exhibition: Thursday, Nov. 3 from 4-6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2-4 p.m.

“The exhibit will feature 11 seniors who have worked hard to master their personal ideas and skills into their artwork,” said Brian Young, director of the Baum Gallery. He said the exhibit would be an exciting opportunity to see what these students have worked hard to create.

“I enjoy senior shows because they represent the culmination of each student’s four years encapsulated into a limited space,” Young said. “That process is both daunting and rewarding. Then, in installing the artists’ work together, the senior exhibit coalesces into a display of ideas, process, and execution.”

Seniors exhibiting their work include Taylor Helfrich of Cabot, BFA in Studio Art: Graphic Design; Rachel Avery of Glenwood, BA in Art: Fine Art; Rebecca Brandon of Vilonia, BA in Art: Art Education; Tyler Burton of Conway, BA in Art: Fine Art; Lorenzo Garnett of Chicago Heights, Ill., BA Art: Fine Art; Mackenzie Nunnally of Lynn, BA in Art: Fine Art; Jocelyn Robles of Conway, BA in Art: Fine Art; Tori Cullins of Conway, BA in Art: Art Education; Melissa Foster of Conway, BA in Art: Fine Art; Luke Smith of Vilonia, BA in Art: Art Education; and Kaitlyn Mikeal of Vilonia, BFA in Studio Art: Printmaking.

The Baum Gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Entry to the exhibitions and the gallery is free and open to the public.
