The University of Central Arkansas Poverty Studies Working Group, in partnership with the Conway Homelessness Task Force, will host a public roundtable discussion on homelessness Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at UCA Downtown.
Participants will have the opportunity to join a small group discussion to share their perspectives on homelessness and listen to the perspectives of others. Through facilitated conversation, participants will discuss ideas for alleviating homelessness and supporting individuals and families in need of housing.
“This event is a great opportunity for citizens to listen, learn and provide actionable solutions regarding the experience of homelessness,” said Phillip Fletcher, executive director of local nonprofit organization City of Hope Outreach. “I am hopeful participants can leave this event with a more informed perspective and sympathy for men, women and children who experience homelessness in our city.”
In addition to group discussions, participants will be able to leave written comments, which facilitators will collect and share with the task force after the event.
The event is free and open to the public, and registration is encouraged.
