UCA THEATRE STUDENT PLAY ABOUT ‘VAMPIRE OF SACRAMENTO’

“Chase: The Life and Times of the Vampire of Sacramento” will premiere at the University of Central Arkansas.

This production will be Aug. 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Snow Fine Arts Bridges/Larson Theatre. This play is for mature audiences only.

America in the 1970s was full of love and life. However, it was also full of murder. This story ventures through the twisted mind of the real-life American serial killer, Richard Trenton Chase from his time in the American River Hospital in Sacramento, California, up until his death on Dec. 24, 1979.

“Chase: The Life and Times of Vampire of Sacramento” is a workshop production based on Documentary Theatre. It is written, directed and performed by UCA students. The director is UCA senior, Cody Charles Douell, and the cast includes Levi Smith, Phillip Donaghey and Rodtavious Watts.
