UCA teams up with Museum of Discovery to tinker

University of Central Arkansas’ College of Science and Engineering has teamed up with the Museum of Discovery for Tinkerfest 2025. The event will be in downtown Little Rock from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Tinkerfest is an annual hands-on event that brings together makers, artists, engineers and innovators to engage families in interactive, STEM-based activities and fuel inspiration in future scientists and engineers. Now in its second year of participation as an event partner, the College of Science and Engineering will bring hands-on, interactive STEM activities to local families. These activities include experiments in robotics, chemistry magic, coding, and engineering using everyday objects.

“We are proud to partner with the Museum of Discovery to inspire the next generation of innovators and showcase the engaging work happening within our college,“ said Kari Naylor, Associate Dean of the College of Science and Engineering. “We’re only one of the many vendors that will be there. In all, we expect well over 40 different activities available to grab the attention of the scientist and engineer in all of us.”
