UCA offers free and discounted tuition to hurricane victims

The University of Central Arkansas is offering free tuition and fees to all Arkansas residents who were enrolled for the fall semester at Tulane, Xavier, University of New Orleans or Southern University. For out-of-state residents who were affected by Hurricane Katrina, UCA will waive the out-of-state tuition charge.

?We are admitting these students as quickly as possible,? said UCA President Lu Hardin.

Hurricane victims wishing to enroll at UCA should contact UCA Admissions at (501) 450-3128 or they can apply in person in the Admissions Office in Bernard Hall.

All students who are victims of Hurricane Katrina will be advised through the Academic Advising Center. Students should be sent directly to Harrin Hall for advising after they have been admitted. They do not need an appointment.

?We appreciate all of your help in assisting in this worthy cause,? Hardin said.
