UCA TELEVISION STATION NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH UVERSE
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s Channel 6 television station is now available throughout central Arkansas on AT&T’s Uverse, Channel 99.
Programming had previously been available only on the Conway Corporation cable lineup.
Channel 6 on Uverse covers the entire Little Rock-Pine Bluff Demographic Market Area, including Benton, Bryant, Cammack Village, Conway, Haskell, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Maumelle, North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Shannon Hills, Sherwood, Faulkner County, Garland County, Alexander, Pulaski County, Saline County and Searcy.
“I’m extremely excited to be able to reach a new audience through Channel 6’s original programming,” said Chris Churchill, director of Channel 6 Television. “Now, thanks to AT&T Uverse, UCA students, family and fans can experience our programming from anywhere in central Arkansas.”
John Gale, chair of the Department of Mass Communication and Theatre, said the move was consistent with the department’s growth.
“This is one more step in the department’s work to provide innovative opportunities to students in a continually changing mass communication environment,” he said.
To access Channel 6’s programming through Uverse, browse to Uverse Channel 99, which will display a list of available Public Education Government (PEG) channels. Click on Conway and then UCA Television.
