UCA MANAGING CONWAY YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The University of Central Arkansas will take over the administration of the Conway Area Youth Leadership Institute (CAYLI), formerly known as the Faulkner County Youth Leadership Institute.

CAYLI will be led by the UCA Division of Outreach and Community Engagement, graduates of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute and dedicated volunteers.

“Leadership development is a critical component of developing our youth. UCA can bring additional resources and expanded opportunities to this long-standing program for high school students,” said President Houston Davis.

The program is designed to help develop leadership potential in 11th- and 12th-grade students.

“With UCA’s ability to provide experiential learning opportunities and deliver leadership training relevant with today’s world, we are confident that Conway’s future is brighter than ever,” said Ed Linck, chief operating officer of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.

CAYLI is accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year. Applications are available online at uca.edu/outreach/youthleadership. Faulkner County students currently in the 10th and 11th grades are eligible to apply. The application deadline is March 31, 2018.
