UCA hosts reading of ‘I am Jazz’

The University of Central Arkansas Office of Diversity and Community will host a reading of “I am Jazz” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 at UCA Downtown located at 1105 West Oak Street in Conway.

Cindy Lea, lecturer in UCA’s Schedler Honors College, will conduct the reading. Time will be allotted for questions and comments. “I am Jazz” is the story of Jazz Jennings, HRC Youth Ambassador.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Welcoming Schools program is cohosting the reading.

The HRC Foundation is the educational arm of America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. The HRC Foundation’s Welcoming Schools program offers professional development tools, lessons and resources that help elementary schools across the nation to embrace family diversity, and prevent bias-based bullying and gender stereotyping.
