UCA FESTIVAL OF ONE-ACT PLAYS & SCENES SET FOR NOV. 28- DEC.1

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas theatre program will present The Festival of One-Act Plays & Scenes Nov. 28-Dec. 1.

Performances, free and open to the public, are set for the Bridges/Larson Theatre of Snow Fine Arts Center on the UCA campus. Performances will start at 7:30 p.m. each night.

UCA theatre students enrolled in a directing course under Dr. Kevin T. Browne, associate professor, will direct the plays.

“More than 50 cast and crew members will participate in this event,” said Melissa Pearson, theatre business manager.

Some plays are recommended for mature audiences only.

Monday, Nov. 28: “The Shape of Things” by Neil LaBute, PG 13; “The Heidi Chronicles” by Wendy Wasserstein, PG 13; “The Birthday Party” by Harold Pinter, PG 13; “God Sees Dogs: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead” by Bert V. Royal, R

Tuesday, Nov. 29: “Look Alike” by John Vanderslice, PG 13; “Visa” by John Vanderslice, R; “4.48 Psychosis” by Sarah Kane, R

Wednesday, Nov. 30: “Superior Donuts” by Tracy Letts, PG 13; “The Decision” by Thomas E. Moran, PG 13; “Proof” by David Auburn, PG 13; “The Intruder” by Maurice Maeterlinck, PG

Thursday, Dec. 1: “A Number on the Roman Calendar” by David Johnson, PG 13; “Adopted” by Chris & Ryan Wilkins, G; “Babel’s in Arms” by David Ives, R; “Light Years, Part One: Freshman Year” by Billy Aronson, R
