The University of Central Arkansas Department of Exercise and Sport Science is hosting a Women’s Health Fair on Saturday, March 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Care Clinic inside the Integrated Health Sciences Building on the UCA campus.
This event is designed to empower women to take charge of their health and wellness through a comprehensive approach to fitness, nutrition and overall well-being.
Attendees will undergo health, fitness and nutrition assessments through various tests conducted by UCA exercise science, nutrition and nursing students. Based on the assessment results, personalized exercise and nutrition “prescriptions,” which will serve as recommendations, will be provided to individuals to help them achieve their health goals.
The Women’s Health Fair offers an opportunity for participants to engage in various group exercise classes – including yoga, high-intensity interval training, step aerobics, and more – all free of charge. Additionally, attendees can participate in nutrition and cooking classes covering topics such as meal prepping and eating local at no cost.
The event will feature fitness and health vendors offering valuable information and exciting raffle prizes. While the vendor lineup is still being finalized, attendees can expect diverse offerings to enhance their health and wellness journey.
The event will be run by UCA exercise science, nutrition and nursing students, giving back to the community while promoting a culture of health and fitness.
