CONWAY— The University of Central Arkansas will kick off its third annual UCA Day of Giving campaign on Thursday, March 16 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Social media, videos, and email will be used to update donors throughout the day and to encourage participation in the event. As pressures rise on universities to increase amounts of private funding to make up for relatively flat state funding, many schools now turn to annual giving days.
“Everyone is encouraged to participate by giving whatever they can,” Haley Fowler, director of annual giving, announced. “Our goal is broader this year – raise as much as we can and increase awareness of what The UCA Fund is.”
The UCA Fund consists of unrestricted funds that are put to immediate use funding student scholarships, program enhancements, research grants and more depending on the University’s greatest need. The UCA Fund makes an impact campus-wide and relies on private support to do so.
Donors can give online at uca.edu/go/dayofgiving or by calling 501-450-5859. Money raised from the Day of Giving will benefit the UCA Fund towards the University’s greatest need.
