The award-winning University of Central Arkansas Concert Choir will present a Homecoming Concert on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Snow Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The choir will sing a variety of music spanning several centuries including a rousing opening, “Cantate Domino” by Josu Elberdin; a richly romantic piece, “Richte mich Gott,” by Felix Mendelssohn; a stunning contemporary work, “Even When He is Silent,” by Kim Arnesen; a modern pairing of two works in one, “I Love You/Wonderful World,” arranged by Craig Hella Johnson; and an upbeat, rhythmic spiritual, “Ezekiel Saw de Wheel,” arranged by William Dawson.

Featured on the program will be a timely composition, “Please Stay,” by Jake Runestad, with the intent of highlighting the value of one’s life for young and old.

“This is an outstanding group of young, vibrant singers, all of whom are dedicated to making great music. I feel honored and fortunate to be able to share in their music making,” said John Erwin, associate professor and director of choral activities.
