displayUCA ARCHIVES TO DISPAY 9/11 COLLECTION

 CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas will display its collection of material related to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 on Wednesday, September 11and Thursday, September 12.

Newspapers from across the nation will be on display as well as official comments from Arkansas’s Congressional delegation of 2001. Press releases from the former Governor of New York, George Pataki, will also be available as will the official comments of most of the nation’s governors.

UCA’s collection of 9/11 material is in 19 boxes and is 24.5 linear feet.

Included in this collection are a large number of letters from elementary students who attended St. Bartholomew’s School in Queens, New York. The students wrote how the attack on 9/11/2001 impacted their lives. There are also letters from students at UCA, Conway High School, Greenbrier High School, Bob Courtway Middle School and Sallie Cone Elementary School.

The UCA Archives is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in the west end of the first floor of Torreyson Library.
