New fall community education classes are being offered to the public through University of Central Arkansas’ Division of Outreach and Community Engagement. Twenty-five classes have been added to the fall course offerings, which are scheduled to being early-September.
“Community Education is a cluster of classes from a variety of subject areas designed to enrich the lives of the residents in Faulkner County and surrounding communities,” says Lawana Hawkins, coordinator of Community Education at UCA.
Community Education offers lifelong learning opportunities designed to meet a variety of needs and interests in the areas of business, arts, lifestyle and leisure and technology.
This semester, new courses like Hoop Dance, Genealogy and Healthy Cooking 101 have been added to the roster to help participants get in shape, learn a new talent, trace their family history and eat healthy too. Traditional classes like photography, yoga, poetry and cake decorating are also on the list this fall. Little Rock Score will provide two free classes on how to start a business and how to write a business plan for the community.
Registration is now open. For more information, visit uca.edu/outreach or call (501) 450-5811.
