The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has announced its fourth annual Jack Kent Cooke Foundation graduate scholarship competition.
The Foundation will award 45 to 50 scholarships to outstanding students to begin graduate studies in fall 2005. UCA is eligible to nominate two graduating seniors or recent alumni (graduated in May 2000 or after) who
are planning to enter graduate studies in fall 2005. The scholarship can total as much as $50,000 per year.
Criteria for nominees include:
-graduation date no earlier than May 2000 and no later than August 2005;
-acceptance into a graduate program at an accredited university by April 30, 2005, with plans to begin program full-time in fall 2005;
-first graduate degree sought;
-undergraduate GPA of at least a 3.5;
-strong academic achievement, leadership and public service, appreciation for or participation in the arts and humanities, and unmet financial need.
Students already enrolled in graduate school are not eligible.
In order for a student to be considered for nomination to the JKC Foundation by UCA, he or she must be recommended to the UCA JKC Committee by a UCA faculty member.

We will contact the student and arrange for completion of the application materials, which will be due to the UCA committee on March 1, 2005.
