Spring hike to explore birds in campus nature reserve

Dr. Vickie McDonald, associate professor of biology, will lead an informative nature hike highlighting the various birds that occupy this area during the springtime beginning at 8 a.m., Sunday, April 24 at the Jewel E. Moore Nature Reserve on the southwest corner of campus.
McDonald is an ornithologist whose research involves the behavioral ecology of birds and their songs.

Those interested in participating in the 2 hour nature hike should meet at the parking lot in front of the HPER Center. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and bring binoculars and individual refreshments.
