CONWAY — The popular musical stage adaptation Seven Brides for Seven Brothers will take the stage at the University of Central Arkansas’s Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on Friday, Jan. 16.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is sponsored by KARN News Radio 102.9 FM.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a stage version of the 1954 MGM movie and is set in the Oregon wilderness in the 1850s. The musical comedy follows Millie, a young bride, as she attempts to secure her own marriage by finding brides for her six brothers-in-law. The plan hilariously backfires, and a fun and romantic series of events follows.

“We have received great responses from the community about bringing this show to Reynolds,” said Ashley Love, director of finance and marketing for UCA Public Appearances. “The movie has won over audiences for many generations, so it will be a fun night for the whole family.”

Tickets range from $30‐$40 for the general public and $10 for children and students. For tickets, call UCA Ticket Central Box Office at (501) 450-3265 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday or toll free from anywhere in Arkansas at 1-866-810-0012 or visitwww.uca.edu/reynolds.

“It’s selling very well, so we do expect it to be sold out before Jan. 16,” Love said.
