CONWAY–Randy Newman, renowned composer, songwriter and pianist, will take the stage at the University of Central Arkansas’ Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The concert, sponsored by the Log Cabin Democrat, will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Newman will perform many of his songs with the Conway Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Israel Getzov.

“Randy Newman is an icon in the music industry, and we are elated to have him at Reynolds Performance Hall,” said Amanda Horton, director of UCA Public Appearances. “His career spans all areas of the musical field, including singing, song-writing, arranging and composing.”

Newman has won Grammys, Emmys, and Academy Awards for his musical masterpieces. He has also been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“He does not tour often due to his composing career, so you don’t want to miss your opportunity to see this legendary entertainer,” Horton said.
