A University of Central Arkansas professor has been elected to serve on the National Communication Association’s (NCA) Educational Policies Board.
Nelle Bedner, professor of communication in the School of Communication, will begin her appointment Jan. 1, 2017.
The board, which is part of the association’s executive leadership team, supports and promotes disciplinary pedagogy through facilitation of professional development opportunities for communication educators and through dissemination efforts beyond the discipline.
Dedicated to fostering and promoting free and ethical communication, NCA promotes the widespread appreciation of the importance of communication in public and private life, the application of competent communication to improve the quality of human life and relationships and the use of knowledge about communication to solve human problems.
