The following presentations, publications and accomplishments were submitted by UCA faculty and staff:Garry Craig Powell, Department of Writing and Speech, has had his short story, ?Kamila?s Price,? accepted for publication by the literary magazine, Talking River.

Mark Mullenbach, Department of Political Science, recently published the following:

Brooks Green, Department of Geography, recently co-published the following article with Elena V. Biryukova: “Meshchorskii National Park: Perspectives on Problems and Progress,” in Questions on Regional Geography and Geoecology. This journal contains the proceedings of an all-Russian practical science conference held in Ryazan’, Russia, Sept. 18-20.

Felicia D. Taylor, Department of Health Sciences, presented a paper titled ?UCA Health Education Faith Based Initiative? at the Texas Public Health Association?s Healthy People 2005, Progress Toward the 2010 Goals Conference in Irving (Dallas), Texas on Thursday, Sept. 29. The paper reflects Taylor?s research which is a collaborative project working with regional Black churches and health issues.

Dawn Jakubowski, Department of Philosophy and Religion, has been invited to present her paper “Prozac: The New Opiate of the Masses?” at the Central Division American Philosophical Association next April at the Palmer House in Chicago.
