The following faculty have reported presentations, publications, awards and honors:Art Lichtenstein, Director of Torreyson Library, was recently awarded the 2006 Suzanne Spurrier Academic Librarian Award by the Arkansas Library Association. This award recognizes an academic librarian who exemplifies “a spirit of outstanding service and dedicated professionalism to all library patrons; an attitude of devotion to the library profession and fellow colleagues; and consistent activity in state, regional, or national library associations.
In September 2006 Arkansas Chapter meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the following individuals have been elected to offices in APTA. Dr. Nancy Reese, Chief Delegate to American Physical Therapy Association House of Delegates; Dr. Myles Quiben, Delegate to American Physical Therapy Association House of Delegates; Steve Forbush, Vice President of the Arkansas Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. In addition, James Fletcher will become Chair of the Arkansas Chapter Nominating Committee of the American Physical Therapy Association taking the place of Dr. Reta Zabel who has been in this role for 2006.
