The following presentations, publications and accomplishments were submitted by UCA faculty and staff: Dr. Jacki McMurtrey, Department of Speech Pathology, recently had an article published in “Dysphagia” an international journal of swallowing and swallowing disorders. The title of the article is, ?Effects of neuromuscular stimulation on submental muscle activity”. Co-authors of the article included Dr. Debra Suiter at the Univerity of Memphis and Dr. Stephen Leder, at Yale Univeristy.
Art Gillaspy, Department of Psychology and Counseling, had two recent publications:

Roy Whitehead, Department of Accounting, had an article titled, “Discharging a Tax Liability in Bankruptcy: An Honest and Reasonable Tax Return,” accepted for publication in The CPA Journal.
Charlotte Yates, Department of Physical Therapy, presented a platform presentation at the American Physical Therapy Association combined sections meeting in San Diego in February. The presentation titled, “Traumatic dislocation of the hip in the high school athlete: A case study” was a part of the Sports Section complicated patient forum.
