Dr. Jacquie Rainey, Department of Health Sciences, was recently elected to a five year term on the Board of Commissioners: Division Board of Certification of Health Education Specialist of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) is the national certifying body for health education specialists. UCA offers a bachelor of science degree in health education and master?s of science in health sciences that qualifies students to take the National Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.
Dr. Paul Dickinson, Department of Music, was awarded a commission of $10,000 from the Fromm Music Foundation at Harvard University to write a string quartet for the Quapaw Quartet.
According to Dickinson, the From Music Foundation is well respected in the new music world and awards approximately 12 commissions each year.
