The following faculty have reported presentations, publications, awards and honors: Dr. Jim Guinee, counseling center director of training, recently conducted three workshops at the Arkansas Counselor Association conference in Hot Springs, “Before you leave them with us: A program for parents of college students”, “Grief counseling,” and “Ethics of college counselors.”
The UCA Occupational Therapy Department hosted the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association’s Annual Conference on November 17-18, 2006. National speakers were brought in and the UCA Student Occupational Therapy Association worked with conference coordinators throughout the conference to ensure a smooth program. On November 17th, Dr. Letha J. Mosley, assistant professor in the OT department, presented a 2-hour workshop on “Occupational Therapy and Falls Prevention…Programs Worth Falling For”.
Dr. Mark Mullenbach, Department of Political Science, presented research findings at a meeting of the Working Group on Peacekeeping Operations, sponsored by the Swedish government’s Folke Bernadotte Academy at Yale University in New Haven, CT on December 1-2, 2006. The title of his presentation was, “Explaining the Establishment of Third Party Peacekeeping Missions in Intrastate Disputes, 1945-2002.”
