Scottie Pippen, an All-American at the University of Central Arkansas and six-time NBA Champion, was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday in his first year to be eligible for inclusion.
Pippen, a seven-time NBA all-star and winner of two Olympic gold medals, will be dually enshrined as both an individual and as a member of the 1992 USA Olympic Team – the “Dream Team” which included Hall of Famers such as Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, David Robinson, and John Stockton.
