The UCA Opera Theater Workshop will present the comic opera “Gianni Schicchi” by Puccini at 7:30 p.m. on March 31, April 1 and April 2 at Reynolds Performance Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.The hour-long opera is about a rich uncle who passes away and the relatives who descend like vultures into the dead man’s home and cannot locate the will. When the will is finally discovered, the blood bath among the relatives begins. How they attempt to change the will with the help of Gianni Schicchi, and a lawyer, is something so comical that the end result of all the scheming is totally unexpected.
